After a long and frustrating process we finally have a fast broadband internet connection.
Openreach eventually decided that they were not going to finish connecting us with fibre so we contacted a local IT company who have installed a microwave link to get us connected.
The receiver needs to have line-of-site to the transmitter and unfortunately we couldn’t see the transmitter from the building. The solution was to erect a telegraph pole and dig a trench and lay armored cable to it from the house.
The result; much faster speeds for our customers who will now be able to web-browse, post photos on Facebook, video-call and email to their hearts content.
Another recent development has been the installation of a new mobile phone mast meaning anyone with an EE or BT mobile phone can now stay in touch with the outside world.
